Suggest speakers

From speaker suggestion to invitation
a) Candidate speakers can be suggested by any scientist via the web site http://dcc.molgen.mpg.de/cgi-bin/suggest

b) Each suggestion requires the following information:

  • Name + affiliation of the speaker
  • Host (person who agreed to host the speaker; suggestions from PhD students need a PI as host)
  • Links to web pages (lab + publications)
  • Topic the speaker is intended to present
  • A motivation why the speaker is well-suited for the Dahlem Colloquium (opposed to a regular seminar)

    c) The DC committee will hold a vote on acceptance of the speaker suggested. The current status on the decision is shown on the web site.

    d) Once a speaker is accepted the host should contact Barbara Vrancic for detailed information on how to

  • get an official invitation letter (already pre-formulated; has to be signed by a director)
  • book/block potential dates for the lecture
  • arrange accommodation
